Great Engineer Manager/ Director with Exciting Gaming Company in Bay Area!!

Job Profile
The Engineer Manager will manage the software engineers in our Server and Client teams in the programming of our online multiplayer social gaming world.

Responsibilities:
* Understand, refine, and improve our server infrastructure with an emphasis on security, flexibility, stability, scalability.
* Work with Design and Art departments to build a robust game development toolset
* Manage the engineering group to set reliable goals, and deliver those goals.
* Design, develop and extend our game engine: game play, graphics, AI, networking, audio, etc.
* Enforce good software practices.
* Account for risk factors and plan for risk mitigation.
* Ensure good communication with other departments.
* Manage the extension of our framework into an SDK for third parties.

Requirements:
* At least six years of experience in C++ programming in an MMOG environment.
* Solid Engineering Management experience.
* Experience designing and implementation complex data-driven systems.
* Must have excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Windows XP/Vista/Linux development experience.
* Experience playing a variety of games.
* Motivated team player.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.), or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or a related degree.
