DESCRIPTION
The Engineer should have Juniper Netscreen knowledge ? has to be Netscreen, not Juniper routers/switches, as the skill set is not the same. The candidate will maintain diagrams, enhance Juniper relationship and perform discovery on whether or not Customer has the right level of support. He/she will continue efforts to develop and deploy standard config templates. The candidate will also participate in testing new requirements in their lab environment

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting using command line and GUI for Netscreen Firewall
  • Determine long-term strategy for customers' Firewall infrastructure
  • Facilitate plans and communication to employees on the use of IN and CH for new connectivity
  • Setup and tear down of VPNs
Qualifications:
  • Firewall Expert Required
  • Juniper Firewall Expert Required
  • Cisco Firewall Intermediate Required
  • Juniper Netscreen Expert Required
  • VPN Expert Required
  • NSM knowledge ? Use of it to manage policies, preferably someone that has built an NSM server.
  • Strong knowledge of VPN technologies across multiple vendor platforms (this helps when building with 3rd parties using other vendors equipment).
  • Documentation skills ? Use of Lotus Notes teamrooms, MS Sharepoint
  • Customer interaction skills ? Great people skills; stays calm under pressure; thick skin to deal with belittling and demeaning personalities of the primary customer interface.
  • Teaming ? Need someone that acknowledges when they've hit the technical wall and is willing to ask for assistance from peers or the vendor.
