We have an immediate need for an Engineering Design Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking an Engineering Design Manager with previous Department of Energy experience for a temp to perm opportunity.

DESCRIPTION:
- Process system development; piping engineering design; decontamination and dismantlement (D&D) of chemical/nuclear facilities planning and design; mechanical system layout; heating and ventilation system design; all for high dose rate material with criticality concerns
- Planning, scheduling and organizing projects to meet schedules and budgets
- Responsible for 30/60/90 and final design submittal s to DOE, feasibility studies, preparation of engineering conceptual design reports, construction and equipment specification development, cost estimating, construction management, startup engineering, planning/administration of process/mechanical systems, and computer-aided design (CAD) deliverables
- Responsible for new construction design and renovation design in a contaminated facility as well as design of storage and treatment of liquid radioactive and hazardous waste systems
- Responsible for directing the technical efforts of in-house and subcontracted design agencies and lead integration of roles and technical issues

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in Process Systems, HVAC Systems, Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Decontamination/Decommissioning, New Construction, Industrial Facilities, electrical and I&C Design
- Experience with Hazardous Waste Operations and Radworker requirements
- Capable of Managing numerous disciplines and projects

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Engineering minimum - advanced degree preferred or related years experience
- Min 15 years experience in Design and Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in management of multiple Engineering Disciplines
