What you will be doing:

- Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, from design to development to deployment and on-going enhancement.
- Contribute to user-interface, workflow, and algorithm design, application architecture, and implementation of Web based user interfaces, highly-available workflow management applications, and reliable APIs which will be used to integrate with network elements, billing, and Business Intelligence systems
- Technical discussions with customers and third party organizations.
- Maintain medium to high level of visibility across the Product Group and work with other development groups to ensure end to end architectural, functional and protocol consistency

What you need:

- Commercial experience of distributed systems and multi threaded programming
- Applied analysis, design and architecture patterns.
- Tomcat, Struts, Spring
- Javascript, JSP, JSTL, XML, SOAP, REST, HTTP, JIBix, JAXB.
- Advanced data structures, API/service interface development and Web development.
- Experience developing and operating medium to large sized software systems.
Self directed and capable of working in a dynamic environment.
- BS in Computer Science. MS or Phd preferred.

Desired:

- Knowledge of wired and wireless network architectures.
- Knowledge of network management protocols.
- Knowledge of Unix, xml/http protocols, publish/subscribe technologies, or n-tier Web based distributed systems and localization issues, and their use in a massively scalable environment.
- Solid experience working in Agile and iterative methodologies.
- Designed and built highly concurrent, high throughput Web services based on deep understanding of the performance impacts of alternative threading architectures including thread per connection and event-based mechanisms.
- Designed and built high throughput caching systems, cache coherency algorithms, streaming, or eventually consistent systems.
