We currently have the following position available in our Boston, MA office:
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project Manager

Cambridge Associates maintains a number of custom and COTS-integrated applications using a wide variety of technologies. These technologies include, but are not limited to the following: C#, VB.NET, ASP/ASP.NET, HTML, Microsoft TSQL, PowerBuilder, Visual Basic 6, and JavaScript. Cambridge Associates IT supports a number of COTS applications, including Lawson Financial software, MPI Stylus, and various financial packages to support specific business areas. Programmer/Analysts are expected to develop, maintain, and improve competency in one or more technical areas, consistent with project requirements. Cambridge Associates IT manages application integration of COTS products with internal custom built products.

The ERP Project Manager is responsible for maintaining the Lawson ERP system and other in-house built applications utilized by the Accounting and Human Resource departments at Cambridge Associates. These responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following: · Oversee total lifecycle development of one or more projects, acting as the senior technical member of the team. Develop coherent project plans, appropriate task assignments, and realistic time estimates for projects
· Maintain internal client relationships: leading requirements and design meetings with users and supervising the creation, development, on-time deployment and maintenance of software applications. Act as regular point of contact with end-user community for particular projects. Coordinate with other project managers to identify and manage project risk, project interdependency issues and resource allocation. Display a willingness and ability to fill in for or support any team member to solve problems or address shortcomings of the team on a short-term basis.
· Manage a team of Programmers. Responsible for training, tasking, supervising and performance reviews of team members. Assist in the hiring of team members. Responsible for planning the long-range direction of the team. Mentor team members and help them plan their career paths.
· Remain current in evolving Lawson technologies as well as currently used technologies (Microfocus Cobol 4GL, MS SQL, Smart Notes, Process flow and Design Studio) and methodologies and evaluate their value and applicability to current applications and future versions of those applications.


Experience/Skills
The successful candidate must have a strong background in managing an ERP Implementation, while experience with implementing and maintaining a Lawson ERP system is not required, it is preferred. Other qualifications for a candidate include:
·Experience as a project manager or assistant project manager for an ERP planning and implementation project.
·Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
·Experience with a financial management and/or human resources administration system.
·Strong personnel management skills in a cross-cultural government environment.
