Description
Prepare job estimates and bid schedules. Estimate preparation includes reading specification book thoroughly, corroborating with the PM on details of project take-off, listing of materials needed to complete the project, use software to enter material information and to send official bid to general contractor or project owner. Communicate with wholesale houses to obtain price quotes for materials needed to complete the job. Communicate with engineers and architects when conflicts occur. Communicate with contractors and owners when estimate must be received. Contact wholesale houses to maintain current pricing on commodities used universally from bid to bid. Create an archive of both successful and unsuccessful estimates & their corresponding software files. Construct electrical drawings using AutoCAD software based on PM's design, update drawings based on PM's specifications. Maintain archive of past design and build projects, maintain & catalog electronic mail containing ACAD drawings for existing & future projects. Correspond with & foreword electronic mail to contractors, engineers, architects or special system contractors.
