Description

General Function
Provide leadership to successfully execute multiple financial systems and/or Bancorp improvement initiatives.  Must coordinate efforts of departments/personnel throughout the Bank to efficiently and effectively complete projects.  Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build an effective team committed to the goals of the organization.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Craft and communicate the long-term vision and strategy for the financial applications environment.


2. Translate strategy into clear and specific initiatives / programs to achieve the long-term vision.  Including all necessary cross-functional initiatives to achieve the vision.


3. Establish, foster and maintain working relationships with peers and Senior Management within Bancorp, LOB and Affiliate financial management.
* Understand the goals and objectives of these groups.
* Assist Departmental Management to ensure that project priorities align with the needs of our internal customers.


4. Establish, foster and maintain working relationships with other support groups throughout the Bank, such as IT and General Accounting.
* Work closely with these groups to properly prioritize our initiatives and complete required tasks.


5. Project Management
* Assist management with assessment of project feasibility.
* Develop project cost-benefit analysis.
* Develop project timelines and plans.
* Maintain project documentation.
* Identify and motivate project teams.
* Coordinate efforts of project team members.
* Ensure project deadlines are met.
* Ensure effective communication with all groups impacted by project.
* Develop controls to ensure realization of long-term benefits.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities
1. Recruit key talent to build effective teams.
2. Ensure proper orientation for all employees.
3. Identify challenging work assignments, mentoring and education programs to give employees exposure to proactive problem solving with varied work groups throughout the Bank.
4. Provide clear, constructive and timely performance feedback.
5. Provide challenging opportunities that enhance career growth.
6. Develop the talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning.
7. Recognize and reward employee accomplishments.


Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Education:
* Bachelor?s degree required.  Preferably with concentration in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or Management.
* CPA, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
* Six Sigma experience preferred.


Experience:
* Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into solutions utilizing a ?customer-friendly? approach.
* Proven managerial experience.
* 10+ years experience
* Progressive experience with financial application development and oversight, along with system implementation and project management experience.
* Demonstrated ability to direct process improvement initiatives with successful results.


Other Required Skills:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
