Field Engineer - 899

The Program Field Engineer will travel primarily around North America installing security products and visiting customer sites and working with the customer to determine how the equipment will fit into their facilities.  They will also be required to troubleshoot and repair software and hardware problems.

Primary responsibilities:
 Plan and supervise field installations and act as point of contact between field personnel, the customer and the program manager as required
 Perform site surveys to determine optimal placement of equipment
 Design site preparation/construction plans
 Diagnose and repair hardware and software configuration problems
 Simulate field scenarios in a test environment to determine root cause or duplicate a failure/error
 Provide program Technical Support
 Ensure fulfillment of the engineering scopes of work within program contracts.
 Document site preparation instructions through engineering drawings
 Interact with internal and external customers to develop project requirements
 Manage project schedules to ensure on time and on budget delivery

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
 Solid experience troubleshooting hardware and software and electrical equipment, systems and wiring
 Experience installing camera equipment
 Experience working with security related equipment
 Experience working on government contracts
 Strong knowledge of NEC
 Surveying experience
 CBP security clearance
 Loves to travel
Travel Requirement:   50% - 75%

Qualifications and Requirements:

 Bachelor s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.  
 5-10 years experience. 
 This position requires a highly motivated person who loves to travel and work with his/her hands.
