An S&P 500 company traded on the NASDAQ National Market.Location: Manassas, VA, and Lehi UTHourly Pay Rate: MARKETCustomer is offering an extensive relocation packageJob Description:PRIMARY PURPOSE:Primarily responsible for customer service activities associated with modifying, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of highly complex capital equipment at customer sites. Represents the company to the customer and assumes accountability for customer satisfaction with service. A CSE assures operational quality of system equipment. They coordinate actions with customers to minimize down time. They provide assistance to Tech support engineers in resolving problems on site. A CSE must be willing to provide 7x24 on call and on site support . This job requisition is for positions in Lehi, UT, and Manassas, VA.RESPONSIBILITIES:* Evaluates, analyzes, diagnoses and troubleshoots technical equipment problems via telephone or at customer site. Ensures equipment enhances customer production. Repairs and modifies equipment at customer facility. Repair of system level problems are based on CSE's technical knowledge, education and training.A CSE provides guidance and technical assistance to Installation Engineer on installations at customer sites or on installing/dismantling demonstration machines.A CSE conducts customer orientation and technical training on all aspects of equipment maintenance support for user applications.A CSE should expect to be cross trained and assists other field service engineers as appropriate.A CSE should be willing to provide 7x24 support and must be available to respond on site if required. A CSE should be willing to work shifts other than day shift if required.Prepares reports on customer support activity and provides documentation to engineering , marketing and sales for re-occurring problems. They should make recommendations for improvements.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:Proficiency in systems level repair of multiple and extremely complex products. A CSE must have advanced electronics skills. They must have the ability to troubleshoot problems in software and electronic systems. They must have strong knowledge of optics and lasers, computer theory and applicable operating system knowledge. They must have strong mechanical and analytical skills. They must have strong interpersonal/communication skills in understanding customer needs. They must have the ability to work under pressure and stringent timelines since failure of company equipment may shut down customer manufacturing area. The must successfully complete ongoing technical training to acquire a thorough knowledge of company equipment, the application of diagnostic techniques and practical application of service aids.Desired backgrounds include any of the following: photo process knowledge and experience, defect inspection review, optics experience, networking experience, UNIX experience, Microsoft OS experience, factory automation experience, fab process experience highly desirable, customer management skills, solid communications and reporting skills. Must maintain working relationship with customers , applications support engineers , technical support , and sales team.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:BSEE or BSET degree or equivalent work experience in supporting complex capital equipment for the semiconductor industry is required.Qualifications/Education Desired:* Experience on photolithography related products a plus.* BS in engineering or physics (or related areas).* 3 to 5 years field service or equipment related experience.* Excellent oral and written communications skills.* Must maintain working relationship with customers , customer support engineers , applications engineers , technical support and sales team.* Current support request is for 24x7 support * which will require extra effort to assure a successful ramp.
