ESPN Technology Planning and Administration

Scope of Responsibility:
* SAP Procure-to-Pay [PTP] support for the Technology Department.
* SAP Project-Initiate-to-Close [PIC] support for the Technology Department
* Equipment asset tagging
* Inventory and distribution control.
* Basic assembly, configuration, and testing of common media systems.

Review order requests and check that the request bids follow company-sourcing policies.If necessary, research and generate the necessary documentation to fulfill the company’s competitive bidding policy.Confirm vendor is in SAP.If not, complete the SAP vendor setup.Confirm purchase order line items are assigned proper account codes for the materials ordered.If necessary, communicate with the requestor and correct.Fulfill order request if materials are in stock.Input order request in SAP and assign approvers and reviewers based on project and department requesting the order.Follow-up with vendors and requestors about equipment delivery changes or changes to purchase orders.Receive all deliveries and notify requestors by e-mail.This staff position is responsible for all corrections necessary to clear “blocked” payments.SAP and Microsoft excel are used to monitor and track order status, and receive shipments.

Complete asset tagging of equipment delivered to the field shop.Determine what materials meet the tagging criteria using SAP and company policy.Tag and record asset data on packing slip.Forward to asset coordinator.Because of this staff’s familiarity with the equipment, they maybe asked to assist with locating and/or tagging assets as related to clearing Construction in Progress [CIP] list or inventories.

Periodically review old systems being stored.Work with users and Senior Management to identify disposal equipment.Interface with asset coordinator to trash or dispose of unnecessary equipment.

Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment, parts, and materials stored in the field shop.Track items entering or leaving the facility.Separate items based on its use; project, support an area or system, and unassigned/used gear (‘pool’ equipment).

Assist engineers with basic equipment setup, configuration and initial acceptance testing.

Maintain the integrity of field shop and equipment following all OSHA and ESPN safety policies set for equipment and machines operated.

Essential functions:
* SAP purchase order entry
* New vendor set-ups
* Vendor order confirmation
* Troubleshoot and reconciliation oforders
* Package receipt confirmation from vendors and carriers
* Knowledge of broadcast equipment and components
* Computer based purchase order lookup and material receipt via data entry
* Physical inventory upon receipt
* Stock inventory and storage control
* Asset tag determination and tagging of equipment
* Basic assembly, configuration, and testing of common electronic systems
* Shipping and receiving of ESPN owned technical systems
* Assists maintaining Construction in Progress [CIP] records (fixed assets)
* Performs routine review of orders, payments, and project status (fixed assets)
* Helps to ensure proper assignment value to new assets (fixed assets)
* Assists in tracking asset locations (fixed assets)
* Performs routine review of assets due for disposal(fixed assets)
* Assists with asset disposal records(fixed assets)

Experience/Skills
Requirements:
Trade school or courses in electronic maintenance.
Minimum 1-2 years experience in purchasing/inventory control.
Minimum 1-2 years experience with SAP.
Demonstrated familiarity with technical equipment and systems used in television broadcasting.
Experience with MS Office products.
Good organizational and customer service skills.
