Description
Technisource is seeking a Field Telecommunications Technician for a 1 year contract opportunity.

Description:

  • Perform Field Maintenance and Installation on Telecom Transport Systems in the Eastern NC area with primary focus on Fiber Optic Networks and equipment.
  • Experience with Fiber testing and repair, including CISCO, Nortel, CIENA, ADTRAN, JDSU, and other fiber terminals desired.
  • Must have good computer skills and be proficient with testing and provisioning on GIGE, OC48, DS3, DS1, and DS0 circuits with experience using OTDR/GIGE/DSX test sets.
  • Experience with REMEDY request sytem desired.
  • Frequent travel and overtime with possible shift changes and overnight travel. Expected to work independently with little direct supervision.
  • Candidates should reside near or be willing to re-locate near the Greenville/Wilmington NC areas.

    • REQUIRED: MUST HAVE 3-5 YEARS IN TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS FIELD. MUST HAVE FIBEROPTICS EXPERIENCE.
