Developer III Specialized (Financial Engineer Tester) performs high complexity analysis, design, and testing of software applications . The Financial Engineer Tester is part of a team that tests applications that are used corporate wide to price and analyze credit risk. An advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as economics, finance, applied mathematics, statistics or computer science or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.

Specifically s/he will be responsible for

Testing complex analytical software
Validating new credit analytics models and new credit risk management methodologies
Working independently to develop high-level and detailed test plans based on requirements. Test Planning, involving analyzing and understanding requirements and software implementation from a variety of sources ranging from formal documents to communications from Business User and Software Development partners.
Ensure that the corporate System Life Cycle Methodology (SLCM) is being adhered to in all applications under this team

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

An advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as economics, finance, applied mathematics, statistics or computer science or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Experience in business and financial applications in secondary mortgage market highly desirable
At least 3 years software testing experience - with exposure to the full software life-cycle
SAS experience required
Experience with QuickTestPro, Rational CQ and CC
SQL, Oracle experience
Advanced knowledge of software tools, platforms, processes, and languages such as C++, Java, and UNIX Shell scripting.
Knowledge of XML, XML Schema, Perl, Python a plus
Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley, Mortgage business, Credit Risk Management
Strong written and oral communication skills are essential

Qualification Rating FNMACompany Default Category 5-7+ years software development experience.
5+ Yrs. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
Yes Post-graduate degree desired.
Yes Professional certification(s) desired.
Yes Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
