Description
Front-End Web Designer

PCR is currently seeking a strong Front End Web Designer for our Charlotte based client. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio, demonstrating clean corporate UI design skills. The primary function will be maintenance of the current site(s), as well as new development and design of supplemental sites. Extensive Web design experience is a requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Create UI solutions that compliment both business and customer needs
  • Gather functionality requirements
  • Define Website information architecture
  • Produce detailed product wireframes, prototypes and specifications
  • Present and articulate wireframes and specifications
  • Design the look-and-feel of the Websites keeping in mind, user goals and restrictions, latest Web design trends, business goals and application environment
  • Ability to hand-code HTML/CSS comps
  • Create style guides to ensure consistency throughout sites
  • Keep up to date with latest trends and strategies in the domain name, Web services, Web media and domain parking industries
  • Share knowledge of personal specialties with coworkers

Required Skills and Background:

  • 3+ years of education or job experience in Web design or a related field
  • 2+ years working with HTML/CSS driven layouts
  • 2+ years developing and implementing usability and navigation solutions
  • Experience with CSS, HTML, hand coding, rapid prototyping, debugging cross browser compatibility issues
  • JavaScript & JQuery experience a plus
  • AJAX experience a plus
  • Experience incorporating Web 2.0 technologies into Web design a plus
  • Experience designing in a .NET Web environment a plus
  • Strong design skills a must
  • Practical experience in graphic design software including Photoshop, Illustrator, CS4
  • Ability to accomplish timely delivery of projects in a fast paced tight deadline environment
  • High degree of problem solving skill and sound judgment a must
  • Ability to consider multi-departmental objectives
  • Flexibility when incorporating design suggestions and critiques
  • Strong attention to detail a must
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
