Global Investment Bank located in New York City has an immediate Full Time opportunity for an experienced Front Office - High Frequency Trading C++ Developer/Support.

Department Overview

Equities IT issearching for an Engineer to work on the ITside for a High Frequency Trading desk. We are looking for a talented candidate to work on equity and equity derivatives Front Office trading support, development and testing. The ideal candidate would have some experience and a high potential to grow into a development or quantitative role after gaining experience on this business through Support.

Position Objectives

Ensure a highly reliable production of a High Frequency trading platform and develop new features and tools for the trading desk.

Position Responsibilities
  • Support all the aspects of the High Frequency platform, from FO modules to interfaces to other external systems (BO, MO)
  • Implement technical solutions that fit the current IT architecture
  • Develop, maintain and support a suite of Front Office tools
    • trading automatons
    • Real Time market feeds
    • order execution
    • business or compliance reporting
    • interfaces to the banks booking, risk, compliance and P&L systems
    • monitoring of the desks operations
Breakdown of Role
  • Analysis: 10 %
  • Programming: 30 %
  • Testing: 20 %
  • Support (production & maintenance): 40 %
Qualifications
  • Master in Computer Science with minor either in Math or Real Time & Network programming
  • From 2 to 4 years professional experience (in finance industry would be a plus)
  • Ability to quickly resolve an issue under pressure
  • Strong technical & problem solving (troubleshooting) skills
  • Excellent oral communication skills
