Two Sigma is looking for talented, team-oriented Java developers and programmers looking to transition to the financial sector. By hiring individuals who may not have previous experience in finance, we believe we gain fresh insight into our business.

As a Java developer at Two Sigma, you will focus on exciting engineering challenges in achieving scale, robustness, and flexibility. The problems you will tackle will be difficult and cover many domains, including numerical programming, distributed systems, and massively parallel algorithms. Technologies you will use include Linux, Java Enterprise 5, Hibernate, AJAX, JUnit, SQL Server and AspectJ.

Requirements

As an ideal candidate, you will have at least a bachelor's degree in computer science or the equivalent, and at least two years of professional Java development. Math and finance skills are not required. Successful candidates will typically have both strong analytical and organizational skills; exceptional programming skills; a true love of building quality software; and a team spirit.
