Watershed Concepts, a division of HSMM , specializes in water resource management. Our services emphasize the development and use of advanced Geographical Information Systems methodologies and customized software applications in the fields of floodplain analysis, stormwater management, and surface water quality.

Watershed Concepts is searching for aGIS Analyst to work in the exciting fields of water resources, stream restoration and stormwater management. We are seeking an individual to:

Perform the creation of digital format flood maps using updated methods and information for use by FEMA and communities. Data management and creation, as well as production of mayp layouts, are fundamental functions of this position. A working knowledge of GIS/CAD packages, such as ArcSDE, ArcGIS/Geodatabase, ArcInfo, ArcView, MicroStation and AutoCad preferred. Experience performing GIS tasks such as coverage generation, table attribution, data projection, acquisition, query, analysis, translation, and AML development are preferred.

Knowledge:
• A working knowledge of ArcView, ArcGIS, MicroStation, AutoCad, and WISE.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• A general knowledge of FEMA guidelines and standards.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to perform data translation, editing, creation, and maintenance.
• Ability to work well individually or as part of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, quality-oriented environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education (Minimum Required):
Bachelor’s degree in geography or related field.
