Description


The successful candidate will be developing Geographic information system (GIS) software and programs to create and maintain databases and/or maps to be combined with geographically referenced data, forming operational intelligence pictures. Collaborating with users to define data needs, project requirements/required outputs, or to develop applications. Acting as an advisor to teams within the division and become actively involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems. Play a key role in the developing the Enterprise GIS solution. May provide guidance to less experienced GIS personnel. Interacting with customers and intelligence analysts. Installing, managing, and developing Web base mapping capabilities using the ESRI ARC IMS/ARC Server Performing agile development of tools to be Embedded within an ESRI ARC GIS (ArcView, ArcEditor, ArcInfo) based set of Web services applications. Developing Web-based application, using Java 2EE on a variety of Operating Systems

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in a GIS, scientific or equivalent discipline and 7 years of related experience. DESIRE SKILLS: ESRI ArcIMS,ESRI ArcGIS Server, ESRI ArcSDE, J2EE, EJB, Java Server Faces,JSP, JavaScript, JAVA/J2EE, Linux (RH5), Windows Server 2003, and Solaris
