The GIS Developer position requires both leadership skills and extensive working knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS products such as ArcView 9.x, ArcCatatlog, ArcToolbox, and ArcIMS 9.x. In addition, the individual must be able to work in a team oriented environment, demonstrate excellent communication and customer service know-how. The GIS position also required the individual have ?diplomacy? skills in dealing with the day-to-day city politics.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
? Minimum of two years of full time employment using GIS in a leadership role
? Extensive knowledge of ESRI products (ArcVIew/ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox, ArcINFO version 9.x, ArcPad Application Builder)
? Extensive knowledge of GPS Trimble products (GPS Analyst Extension, GPS Correct)
? ArcIMS 9.x, Arc GIS Server
? Project Management
? Create GeoProcessing data models: Using ModelBuilder
? Work experience in using Visual Basic, HTML, ArcXML, XML, and Python scripts for GIS applications
? Experience working in Local, County, or State agency is high recommended
? Organize Committee Meetings
? Provide GIS training to GIS staffs and city employees
? Experience in writing GIS training manual
? Facilitate project requests from city employees
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
? Bachelor degree in Geography, with emphasis in GIS (minimum)
? GIS Certificate (optional)
