GIS and AutoCAD Specialist

Parsons provides mission critical solutions to the U.S. government. Our landmark planning, environmental, engineering, construction, and facility operation programs have supported federally-funded chemical weapons demilitarization, military installations and ranges, space exploration, missile defense, aviation, and sustainability programs. Our services also support homeland security initiatives and reconstruction efforts after man-made or natural disasters.

Project
Parsons has a long-term contract to provide facilities, construction, engineering and technical services for NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. Through a combined effort with the facilities staff, Parsons provides quality design, construction, and IT support. We are seeking a professional with both a Global Information Systems (GIS) and an AutoCAD background to join our team due to the volume of reconfiguration work needed to efficiently support the operations of this facility.

Need
As a GIS and AutoCAD specialist, you will be part of a small team who is responsible for developing reliable, accurate, and accessible GIS and AutoCAD related deliverables. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and manipulating data from hard copy and software such as Excel, AutoCAD, and Oracle databases and translating this data in SDSFIE compliant attributes. You will also be using GPS equipment and will have opportunities to design engineering drawings and websites as well as work on software programming. The successful candidate will be fully cognizant of how data interact with decision-making processes and be able to professionally and effectively communicate with clients and staff.

Requirements
? 2+ years of GIS and AutoCAD related experience
? Proficient with SDSFIE tools and structure and Familiarity with GPS equipment such as Trimble
? Proficient use of AutoCAD, Oracle, Microsoft Office, and Auto Desk MEP or Architecture is a plus
? 4-year degree in GIS, Geography, Biology, Environmental Science or related curriculum required
? Proof of U.S. Citizenship
