We have an immediate need for an GIS Technical IT Specialist.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Description: Assignment/Position Description: I/T Technical Specialist for GE Smallworld Geospatial Information System (GIS). Role: Performs application analysis/trouble shooting, software enhancement development, testing and maintenance, overall system architecture planning & support, ad-hoc report development, requirements gathering & documentation. Includes responsibility for client facing support and rotational 24x7 on-call, off-hours support. Skill Sets: Mandatory: Extensive working knowledge and/or experience in: 1) Smallworld GIS Magik programming, 2) Smallworld GIS System Administration; 3) Smallworld GIS Data Modeling; Nice to Have skills: 1) Bentleys Expert Designer tool; 2) Electric utility distribution system design & planning; 3) Business Requirements Analysis/Documentation

Project Description: URGENT Internal and/or External Posting for critical GIS Smallworld development/tech support position. This position is required to maintain ongoing/uninterrupted support of Client Energys Smallworld Geographic Information System (GIS) under existing SO agreement. In addition to ongoing support of current environment, this position is critical to meeting deadlines of several application projects which are already in progress.

Job Role & Skill Set: Information Architect - Database
Requested service/service area: Application Management Services - Manage DW & DBMS MK

Required skills: 1) Smallworld GIS Magik programming, 2) Smallworld GIS System Administration; 3) Smallworld GIS Data Modeling;
Nice to have skills: Additional information re Position Description:4) Test case development; 5) Knowledge/experience with Indus Passport work management system; 6) Knowledge/experience with Bentleys Microstation & AutoDesk products 1) Bentleys Expert Designer tool; 2) Electric utility distribution system design & planning; 3) Business Requirements Analysis/Documentation; 4) Test case development; 5) Knowledge/experience with Indus Passport work management system; 6) Knowledge/experience with Bentleys Microstation & AutoDesk products
