Description
Producers of multi- disciplinary databases for use in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are currently looking for an experienced Aerial Photo Interpreter & GIS Mapper. Seeking someone with exposure to photointerpreting vegetation and land use. The duties of this position involve interpreting off of 9" x9" aerial photos and using a 3x0 lens mirror stereoscope. Fieldwork may be required on a project- by- project basis. Experience using ESRI's ARCINFO software and manual drafting a plus. Successful candidate will be trained in all aspects of photo interpretation. This is not an image processing position! Job Skills Required: Applicants should possess at a minimum a 4- year college degree in geography, biogeography, plant ecology or a related discipline.
