GSE Mechanic

If you are a GSE Mechanic with aircraft experience, please read on!

This position is located in New Orleans and pay rate is between $19-22/hr depending on experience.

What you need for this position:

-A&P license.
-Strong knowledge with AGE (Aircraft Grounded Equipment) such as hydraulic test stands, electrical power test sets, motor generators, diesel generators, self generating nitrogen carts, EMP stands, diesel driven air conditions, ets.


What you'll be doing:

Performs daily maintenance and preventive maintenance on all ground service equipment. Duties include, but are not limited to, inspecting, maintaining, and modifying ground equipment used in the support of client operations; servicing equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid, and compressed air; troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and modifying ground equipment; diagnosing problems using test equipment, and applicable manuals; removing, testing, repairing, or replacing components and accessories such as carburetors, governors, air and oil cleaners, ignition points and auditory sensors; checking and adjusting tolerance of valves, bearings, cams, clutches, and drive shafts; operating and testing ground equipment for performance assessment; replacing bearings, bushings, shafts, end plates, brushes, springs, coils, armatures, push rods, valves, manifolds, tubing, hose, and wiring as required; follow company safety policies and procedures; and the ability to comply with attendance/tardiness standards.
