Description
Responsibilities:
Meet with internal clients to determine marketing and communication needs. Develop comps of possible visual solutions and gain consensus from internal clients prior to developing complete designs. Design accurate, innovative and visually appealing communication tools over a wide range of media, including but not limited to statement inserts, brochures, pamphlets, newsletters, posters, flyers, point-of-sale materials, mailers, and outdoor advertising, that are consistent with the credit unionâ??s overall brand image, strategic goals, and communication requirements. Utilize appropriate computer applications throughout the design process. Develop online graphic elements that integrate visually with the overall look of our web site and corporate image. Interface with printers to negotiate the best quality and pricing for print needs, staying within prescribed project budgets. Complete all necessary production activities, including preflight checks, to ensure files sent to printers are visually and technically accurate. Attend press checks when appropriate to verify accuracy of finished products. Coordinate and secure art, including photography and illustration, from external sources while staying within prescribed project budgets. Ensure art rights are managed as appropriate. Performs other duties as assigned.df-tc


Experience/Skills
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in graphic design or related field. Portfolio of work indicating experience with multiple creative styles and types of media. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates knowledge of applicable computer applications including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Quark, Dreamweaver, and Macromedia Flash required. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred. Experience with offset printing processes, technologies, and production requirements preferred.
