Description
The Group Program Manager (GPM) works with unit-level program managers (PM) to ensure formal project planning activity takes place for each project: project plans, risk analysis/management. The GPM also works with units to ensure core documentation is produced, including functional specs, design docs, project plans, test docs, release notes, etc.

Additional responsibilities:
? Serve as Program Manager contact for group.
? Ensure executive summary is updated weekly for each project; deliver to group-level leadership
? Meet weekly with unit-level PMs to discuss status, understand risks and issues
? Escalate new/high priority risks and issues
? Provide help to PMs to resolve PM risks/issues (help fight fires)
? Ensure adherence to the organization's core values (MSF, Release Management, Quality Assurance).
? Function as ?top level? PM on projects that span teams
? Function as ?top level? PM on ?monthly bundles,? including prioritization of scope if required.
? Function as ?top level? PM for ?Business Information Grid? projects.
? Work with other GPMs on development of standardized doc templates; work with unit-level PMs to ensure adoption and usage.
? Work to improve efficiencies and adopt processes within the Organization (i.e. time tracking, Microsoft Project Server, etc.).
? Work with Acxiom Training and Development Center to build and deliver required training (i.e. Ecosystems of Acxiom).
? Provide Mentorship as requested to PM's.
? Review weekly support and bugs in production reports with Leadership and PM's. Ensure focus is placed on addressing bugs in production.
? Provide focus on ad hoc projects / issues requiring immediate attention (i.e. issues causing potential instability in production).

Required Skills/Experience/Education:
? 5+ years previous project and/or program management experience
? Experience managing multiple project simultaneously
? Ability to deal with complexity in a fast-paced environment
? Excellent problem solving skills
? Excellent communications skills
? Ability to work effectively across multiple technical units
? Superior organizational skills
? BS in Computer science or closely related field

Preferred Skills/Experience/Education:
? 5+ years project/program management experience in a software development environment
? PMI training/certification
? MSF training/certification or experience
