Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
Defines, develops, tests and implements new interfaces between product suite and Customer applications/interface upgrades
Defines, modifies, tests and implements interface upgrades
Configures and tests links utilizing our client's tools
Understands our client's applications sufficiently to help test interface transactions
Assists in developing documentation of interface functionality and tools
Prepares detailed system documentation for interfaces created
Assists in preparation of Customer documentation to be used in pre-contract and post-contract discussions
Provides ongoing technical support and guidance to Customers
Provides technical guidance to other departments for application interface problem resolution
Provides technical training on a continuing basis to assure Customer Support staff are equipped to monitor and troubleshoot interfaces
Provides after hours on-call support

REQUIREMENTS
Professional Requirements
Proficient with MS Office
Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
Ability to analyze information and formulate conclusions and recommendations
Ability to communicate accurately both orally and in writing
Ability to coordinate multiple activities involving multiple parties

Technical Requirements
2+ years experience working with HL7 interfaces and interface engines
Interface coding language experience, XML experience a plus
Knowledge of HL7 standards
Certified with an interface engine or HL7 V2 Control Specialist
Experience with Windows Server environment, MCSA Certification a plus
Experience with networking and remote connectivity
Experience determining and researching alternative causes and solutions to problems
Skills in coding changes/enhancements; project management techniques; and troubleshooting technical problems

Educational Requirements
Bachelors degree preferred
