Description
Looking for a motivated individual that is looking for some extra cash. Need 2 Techs. One Lead that will replace (swap) 26 Desktops and 3 laptops in a plant environment in Lathrop, CA (zip code 95330) and One who will be lower end looking to learn more about the IT industry to do the physical removal and boxing up of old PCs.

The specific details of the deployment are below.



Basically need someone that can re-image and transfer data from one old PC to the new PC in a timely fashion with little supervision while communication with a lead remotely.
Windows XP, A+ certification desired



THIS INSTALL IS FOR 3-4 DAYS MONDAY NOVEMBER 28th THROUGH WED NOV 30 OR THUR DEC 1.



PAY IS ANYWHERE FROM $17-$23/hr



THE MOVER OF THE PC's PAY WILL BE ANYWHERE FROM $10-$14/hr



Deployment Equipment Moving Services (ACTIVITIES DONE BY THE MOVER)
This activity involves physically deploying and removing equipment to and from a distribution point to a Deskside location.
Physical Deployment Resources
. Ability to lift 75 pounds .....I AM LOOKING FOR ONE INDIVIDUAL TO BE THE PERSON MOVING THE EQUIPMENT AT A LOWER PAY RATE AND ONE INDIVIDUAL TO DO THE ACTUAL IMAGING. THE MORE TECHNICAL PERSON WILL NOT HAVE TO LIFT THE EQUIPMENT
SPECIFICALLY WHAT WILL BE DONE
Pre-Deployment
. Verify Existing System Serial Number
. Shutdown Operating System Appropriately
. Remove Existing Hardware from Desktop
. Move Existing Hardware to Configuration Area
Deployment
. Deliver boxed monitor, keyboard, mouse and base-unit to pre-designated office or manufacturing floor locations.
. Validate location has the correct user.
. Power-on and Test for Basic System Operation.
. Run Thorough Testing Script (Logon, test printing, etc.)
Post-Deployment
. Remove old monitor and base unit from pre-designated locations.
. Deliver old units to central locations.
. Organize and pack old units as necessary for shipment.

Technical Deployment Services
This activity involves the technical centralized replacement of the existing laptop or desktop unit with new equipment prior to it's delivery to the deskside location. It is anticipated that an engineer will be able to deploy several units concurrently in the centralized "War Room."
Technical Deployment Engineers
. Dress acceptable for office environment.
. A+, or equivalent, experience.
. Windows XP and 2000 Knowledge

Old Unit Preparation
. Capture asset information (i.e., serial number, location, date, etc.)
. Connect unit and components to networking interface
. Power on unit
. Initialize unit for automated PC transplant collection tool
. Notify lead engineer of any DOA units
New Unit Preparation
. Un-package new equipment
. Capture asset information (i.e., serial number, location, date, etc.)
. Connect unit and components to networking interface
. Perform power on test
. Initialize unit for automated PC transplant collection tool
. Notify lead engineer of any DOA units and substitute an Amcor-provided hot spare unit.
Old to New Data Transfer (PC transplant collection)
. Connect old to new unit with Ethernet cable provision (as provided)
. Execute automated data transfer via specified process.
. Disconnect cable provisioning
. Power down old unit
New Unit Configuration
. Physically replace old unit with new
. Connect peripherals.
. Boot new unit and join network
. Enter asset identification in Altiris asset management screen.
Software Application Delivery
. Software applications will be delivered, installed and configured via an Altiris rapid install package server
Quality Assurance
. Test functionality with scripted quality assurance checklist.
Administrative Activities
. Move old PC to designated shipping area.
. Place old monitor in new monitor box (if required) and set aside.
. Remove scrap packing material to a designated area.
. Sign off work order for installation and return to lead individual
