Do you have an analytical approach towards problem solving?If yes, then please read further.Position Overview:You will be responsible for HP Open View and UNIX server administration.Responsibilities: Network performance monitoring, availability and capacity planning Configuring monitoring tools using SNMP Configuring network performance monitoring and reporting (eg trap monitoring and instance polling of bandwidth, CPU, environmental, protocol status, device stats as requested, etc.) Evaluating, installing, monitoring and maintaining application status, health and performance Applying application patches Recommending, designing and implementing network monitoring solutions for performance and proactive problem detection Recommending and applying configuration solutions per customer requests Analyze and configure SNMP traps or notifications and convert to useful events/incidents for NOC monitoring purposesQualifications: Active Security Clearance Extensive experience with UNIX server administration and extensive experience LAN/WAN topologies Experience with enterprise management tools (Network Node Manager, Cisco Works, LMS, OpenView Performance Insight, or others) Experience in analyzing and configuring SNMP traps or notifications and converting to meaningful events/incidents for Network Operations Centers (NOC) monitoring requirements Experience with enterprise management tools (including Network Node Manager, CiscoWorks LMS, OpenView Performance Insight, or others) Experience with modifying XML configuration files Experience in analyzing Sniffer trace files Experience in writing scripts (PERL, regular expressions, etc) Certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, Comp/TIA) To discuss in detail please call Mike Benson on or e-mail your updated resume, two professional references to (see below) .
