COMBINED CYCLE PROGRAM HRSG ENGINEER Job Responsibilities: 1. Plan & Coordinate Planned (HRSG-Heat Recovery Steam Generators) Inspections – a. Determine scope of (HRSG-Heat Recovery Steam Generators) inspection work with t engineers and inspection contractors b. Monitor site work activities of NDE group personnel within (HRSG-Heat Recovery Steam Generators) boundaries c. Review (HRSG-Heat Recovery Steam Generators) inspection data and recommendations. Disposition each recommendation and prioritize action items with t staff. d. Create and maintain accessible (HRSG-Heat Recovery Steam Generators) records in Plantview. 2. Coordinate and Perform (HRSG-Heat Recovery Steam Generators) Tube (HTF) Failure Program – a. Receive notification of HTFs from t engineers b. Work with t engineers to obtain HTF report data c. Determine if material sampling and metallurgical analysis is warranted to support failure analysis d. Obtain and analyse operating PI data where needed e. Review data, determine failure mode, root cause. f. Make and prioritize maintenance recommendations to t staff g. Create and maintain accessible HTF failure records in Plantview. h. Track and trend fleet HTFs for review by CC Peer group 3. Serve as Technical Lead on (HRSG-Heat Recovery Steam Generators) Related Major Modifications as Required- a. Determine scope of work and recommend design upgrades where appropriate b. Perform engineering review, comment & approval of outside supplier designs c. Develop s and perform tests where needed to support modification efforts d. Monitor site work to assure quality and technical correctness of design and installation of modifications e. Provide (HRSG-Heat Recovery Steam Generators) process knowledge and recommendations on controls related modifications 4. Provide Technical Input on Long Term (HRSG-Heat Recovery Steam Generators) Maintenance Plans a. Make condition based recommendations for budget ning of (HRSG-Heat Recovery Steam Generators) major maintenance work
5. Perform Detailed Engineering and Analysis as Required- a. Analyze failure modes to support root causes analysis b. Perform economic analysis on options, recommend solutions c. Prepare and issue to t engineers detailed work packages including marked drawings, bill of materials, equipment catalog information, and installation technical specifications 6. Conduct and Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on (HRSG-Heat Recovery Steam Generators) Events – a. Perform Problem Definition b. Identify and gather data needed with assistance from t staff for accurate analysis c. Chart event timelines d. Define possible causes and probable root cause e. Develop potential solutions and recommended actions f. Write and issue report g. Track on going results 7. Provide Phone/email Technical Support to Plant Engineers –as requested a. Provide advise and consultation on (HRSG-Heat Recovery Steam Generators) technical matters when requested. Bachelor's degree in engineering (not engineering technology program) from an ABET accredited program or a current PE license is required. An international engineering degree will be considered. A Master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. engineering degree. 5-8 years engineering experience.
