Description
Robert Half Technology is currently seeking a talented Tier 2 Help Desk technician to support and assist end users with the use of Microsoft Dynamics GP and other software applications. The essential duties and qualifications of this position are listed below.• Support Dynamics GP users • Manage the process of incoming calls to the Help Desk via telephone and email• Aid in problem resolution by accessing software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet• Run and create simple SQL queries• Standard validation testing • Monitor and test fixes to ensure problems have been resolved• Work closely with development on issue resolution• Create and maintain user accountsQUALIFICATIONS and EXPIERENCE:• Three years QA testing experience • Logical troubleshooting skills • Dynamics GP experience up to and including certifications of the core modules or more specifically with Field Service. • Must have experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP Pro, Windows XP Home and web based applications. • Extensive application support experience with Internet Explorer, HTML, and knowledge of programming languages. • Solid relationship management and performance management skills. • Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. • Exceptional written and oral communication skills. • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills • Strong documentation skills • Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to non-technical staff. • Proven analytical and problem solving abilities. • Ability to effectively prioritize in a high-pressure environment • Exceptional customer service orientation • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentEDUCATION:Any applicant should possess a college diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related fields is preferred or two years equivalent work experience.
