POSITION:
Help Desk Engineer supporting a rollout of Cisco 800 series routers to 2700+ locations throughout the US

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Helpdesk & Remote Support: Experience working with
remote users and field technicians on a variety of
network, desktop, and printer issues; ability to
communicate effectively with both technical and
non-technical people in a troubleshooting
capacity; a focus on customer service and
professionalism is a must.

2) Familiarity with Cisco Routers: experience
entering commands via the CLI (command line
interface), troubleshooting interfaces, examining
configurations for problems, CCNA certification a
plus

3) Basic LAN/WAN Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting OSI
layers 1 -3 (switches/hubs, Ethernet cabling, IP
addressing, and DHCP); experience troubleshooting
internet connections with ISPs; familiarity with
Hyperterm and other terminal emulation software;
experience configuring/troubleshooting a wide
variety of DSL routers and cable modems a plus.

4) Desktop Support Experience: Need to be very
familiar with standard and advanced settings in
Windows XP/2000 (Windows 98 support a plus),
especially regarding Internet Explorer, setting up
printers, configuring network interfaces, and
typical DOS commands related to networking.

5) Microsoft Office: Intermediate to advanced use of
the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

6) Wireless: Experience installing, configuring and
troubleshooting wireless NICs and broadband
routers a plus.

7) Servers and Printers: Experience installing,
configuring and troubleshooting servers and
printers a plus.
