HELP DESK / DESKTOP SUPPORT LEAD . SUMMARY High Tech client is in search of a Lead Tech with the ability to manage and coordinate technical activity, personnel and projects. To manage in a technical environment you should have 5-10 years experience in network services, data center operations (client server), NOC, call center or a med to large help desk. Phone and desktop support is the primary objective but special projects, installs, rollouts and system enhancements are routine as is daily meetings, trouble ticket processing, system monitoring and assessments. Emergency, week-end and after hours availability may be required. . REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 8 years in IT. MS certification (MCSE, Win2K) is preferred. Cross platform experience (Win OS, Mac, UNIX, Linux, Novell and X brand manufacturing computer systems) is a plus. Ability to lead projects, delegate, coordinate staff and manage / design / troubleshoot complex computer systems and networks. . OTHER Must be able to complete and clear a background check and drug screen. Contract to direct hire employment is based on performance and will be a minimum period of 3-4 months. Candidate should reside in close proximity (due to need), have a solid job history, provide supportive references and show a personality conducive to managing and assisting the Department Director in a leadership role. .
