Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Help Desk/Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Anaheim, CA.

*This position is Graveyard Shift with Hours - Sun,Mon,Tue,Wed,Thur - 12am to 9am

Job Responsibilities:
The Customer Support Specialist will provide phone support for a healthcare environment. One must have a good balance between customer service, technical skills, have a positive attitude, and be willing to learn. Major responsibilities include providing customers with phone support by resolving issues, prioritizing issues, and escalating as needed. One will assist with desktop operating systems, Email, MS Office, PC hardware, & Remote Access.

  • Will assess and solve difficult remote site issues over the phone
  • Provide quick and accurate answers to the user community in regards to system and network related problems/requests
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks
  • This opportunity allows the ability to work in a dynamic environment coupled with training and substantial growth potential
  • The environment is a 24X7 challenging environment with many opportunities to support the customer

    Required Skills:
  • 2+ years of experience providing phone and remote technical support troubleshooting Hardware and Software including: PCs, laptops, PDAs ,Printers, LAN/WAN
  • 1 Year experience using incident tracking software such as: Remedy, Track-IT, HEAT, etc
  • 1 Year experience in high call volume environment (30+ call per day minimum)
  • 6 months experience performing responsibilities without supervision.
  • 6 months experience handling concurrent or multiple tasks efficiently

    Desired Skills:
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to exercise appropriate judgment when assessing the needs of the client and determine the resolution best suited for the situation
  • Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems (Win NT, Win2000, XP) and Microsoft Office products
  • Healthcare/IT background
  • Experience with handheld devices (e.g., Blackberry, Palm, Trio)
  • Clinical applications such as Touchworks, Meditech, HBOC and IDX
  • Active Directory experience a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Typing skills of 50-60 WPM

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • A+ Certification a plus
  • Holds or working towards Microsoft Certification preferred
