Entertainment Image Archive seeks Tech Support / Help Desk

This is a long-term position with room for growth. Successful applicant will learn to support existing systems, and eventually be expected to contribute significantly to network improvements. Will work closely with V.P. of Technology. Applicant must love technology, and enjoy helping people use it successfully.

We are a small Manhattan (Midtown) based stock photo agency specializing in entertainment.  The position is full-time with Health, Dental, Vision, and Pension benefits.

-         Help-desk and network support for 30 employees, 35 workstations.

-         Phone/remote support for clients accessing the company website.  Issuing passwords to clients and account maintenance (foreign and domestic).

-        Installation and maintenance of new workstations / upgrades.

-         Writing tutorials and FAQs for in-house staff and offsite clients.

-         Daily backups of important data.

-         Maintenance of in-house FTP Server.

-         Shipping digital images to International clients.

-         Security issues; from viruses and spyware to employee and client-related security issues (such as stolen passwords).

-         Some off-hours work with flextime/overtime may be required (a few times a month).

Requirements:

Punctuality and reliability

At least 1-2 years help-desk experience in a PC environment

Microsoft Office (2000 & 2003) & basic POP3/SMTP protocols

TCP/IP / Internet protocols / Browsers

Windows Networking / Printing

Strong knowledge of windows OS, from 2000 forward

High comfort level / knowledge of PC hardware

 Pluses:

FTP programs / protocols

Mac OS9, OSX

Imaging software (Photoshop, Silverfast, Fotostation)

Scanning hardware

ProStock

SQL / Enterprise Server

HTML / XML / Coding

Windows 2000/2003 servers

Knowledge of IIS 5.0 / 6.0

Microsoft certification
