Description
Robert Half Technology is partnering with a long standing client in search of a Level 2 support technician for their service desk.Duties include but not restricted to:Diagnoses, identifies and isolates problems based upon comments and complaints. Research software and hardware products and applicability to organizational environment. Repair hardware as necessary and work closely with service vendors. Recommend changes in software and hardware to improve computer capabilities. Develop new solutions to frequently occurring problems.Perform workstation operating system installs from a production core image.Provide support for XP workstations, operating system, hardware, network connectivity etc.Provide feedback to management on ways to improve efficiencies at the Help Desk.Provide Technical Support Specialist Level 1 backup as necessary. Provide advanced technical support for all standard Software including XP, Notes, MS Office, etc.Stay abreast of the latest changes in technologies.Support custom built software and coordinate support with application owners. Install software and hardware products on workstations. Escalate problems to senior level support personnel or management when appropriate via proper escalation procedures.Perform his or her responsibilities according the IT Global Support Model and the specified Service Level Agreements.Alert management and IT technical staff of recurring problems and patterns of problems.Provide technical documentation for hardware/software fixes, installation procedures, and process procedures.Provide formal or informal training classes for end users and other IT personnel.

Experience/Skills
Lotus Notes support is a must. Any MS or CompTia Certs are a plus.
