Description
A large publishing company located in the SOHO area of Manhattan seeks a consultant to work a long term, ongoing contract as a Helpdesk Support Analyst.

The company is both a PC and a MAC shop, so Mac support is a plus.

Job Description
. Answer the help desk phone and support users from multiple
locations
. Ticket all issues reported by customers over the phone
. Work with customers to resolve issues over the phone
. Escalate issues not resolved over the phone to Tier Two
. Access issue reporting mail boxes
. Retrieve mail from email boxes
. Retrieve voice mail messages
. Ticket all issues reported in email and voice mail
. Resolve where possible
. Escalate to Tier Two when unsuccessful resolving

Required Skills, Experience & Education
. Thorough knowledge of Remedy or similar problem tracking
system.
. 3+ years of experience in help desk support
. 3+ years of experience in diagnosing and resolving desktop
support issues
. Demonstrated hands-on capability to support all major Windows
and Mac desktop applications
. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and highly
accurate work
. Strong knowledge of Exchange, Windows, and Microsoft Office
applications
. Solid understanding of print services
. Thorough understanding and knowledge of Citrix Remote Access
. Strong knowledge of Wireless Networking
. Excellent knowledge of MAC operating systems and common issues
. Organizational skills, attention to detail and highly accurate work is
required
. Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays 24 x 7 when required
. Excellent troubleshooting skills
. Information Technology or Business oriented Bachelors degree is
desirable
. A+, Network+, Server+ CCNA, MCP, MCTS, MCSD, or MCSE
certification preferred
