Perot Systems is currently looking for a Hyperion Administrator to join our team in Plano, TX.

Required Skills:
  • Provide administrative support and maintenance of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Essbase
  • Must have 2- 4 years experience in HFM Release 9.3 and 11
  • Must have 2- 4 years experience in Financial Data Quality Management 11
  • Must have 2- 4 years experience in Hyperion Financial Reporting
  • Must have 2- 4 years experience in Hyperion Essbase and Essbase Administration v 6.5 and above
  • Must have 2- 4 years experience in SQL queries, Store Procedures

    Desired Skills:
  • Would prefer individuals with experience in any of the following: Weblogic, Cognos TM1, SAP ECC 6.0, Alphablox Analytics, JavaScripts, JSP, HTML, ITIL

    **Due to client restrictions all applicants must be US Citizens and have the ability to obtain Federal security clearances.


    Job Responsibilities:
    Administrative support and maintenance of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Essbase. The individual will facilitate month end close processing in HFM, maintain financial reports and maintain process documentation. Responsibilities will also include maintaining Budgeting and Forecasting solutions comprising of Essbase Cubes and Planning applications. The individual will be required to modify data load process, build new cubes, interact with the business users to utilize Essbase to its full potential. Good understanding of SQL and stored procedures is required as the data load is done using the SQL queries from Oracle GL to the Essbase database. Alphablox Analytics is the front end tool. The application runs on the BEA Weblogic application server.

    The candidate will be required to interact with clients and with vendors to resolve business/ technical issues and problems. Production and development systems will be supported and on-call support will be required. Applicants must have good communication skills, both written and oral. Minimal travel may be required. The candidate will join an existing support team that is supporting an array of middleware and application products.


    Support of HFM and Essbase will include:

    Product Preparation, Installation & Configuration
  • Install software and perform upgrades
  • Collaborate with application architect, business and application teams to configure the Hyperion environment
  • Validate successful installation and configuration of Hyperion components
  • Coordinate with product vendor for missing or faulty components
  • Obtain and install 3rd party software as required by the application software
  • Document the installation and chosen configuration parameters

    Patch Management
  • Research, obtain and apply latest patches for Hyperion in coordination with the application architect
  • Validate successful installation and configuration of patches
  • Coordinate with vendor for patch issues and solutions

    Monitoring and performance tuning for optimal operational efficiency
  • Install and configure performance and monitoring tools as appropriate
  • Manage performance in terms of run-time improvement - recommend changes when appropriate

    Maintain successful operation of Hyperion form and function
  • Provide operational support for Hyperion
  • Notify customer of new product releases and upgrades
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of Hyperion-related configuration
  • Maintain overall configuration and perform change control functions for Hyperion
  • Develop, implement and record change requests for Hyperion
  • Review and comment on back-up procedures for Hyperion components

    Fault Resolution
  • Respond to fault conditions as identified by agreed monitoring service or as reported by client
  • Classify each fault according to the standard fault severity rating
  • Manage the resolution of faults to completion
  • Perform root cause analysis
  • Provide fault isolation, diagnosis and resolution coordination; where possible, apply fault correction or workaround
  • Coordinate activities of third party support where applicable
  • Research and validate with vendor for additional support if necessary
  • Research, review and recommend alternatives to prevent future outage

    Security
  • Comply with standard security-related procedures that are based on established best practices and conformity to Perot Systems policy
