Description
Job Duties:
This position is responsible for providing the primary support for DB2 UDB on multiple non-mainframe platforms, along with DB2 OLAP support. Support would include installation, testing, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a 7x24x365 production environment.
This will also include ensuring availability of packaged software, recovery of systems, and service levels are met. Second level problem determination will be performed to provide the necessary resolution and recovery solutions.
Effective interpersonal and consulting skills for assessing client needs will be required with a high level of customer-focus. This will involve working with all levels of management, internal and external clients, technical staff, and vendors.
? This position will require supporting multiple DB2 applications in a shared environment to accommodate the corporate server consolidation initiative.
The tracking of DB2 database software licenses is required.
This position requires an ability to achieve results by coordinating cohesive teams to plan, select, design, develop, integrate, and implement departmental projects providing accurate, timely, and appropriate status on assignments.
It will also require the flexibility to work an adjusted schedule and being on call carrying a corporate pager and/or other communication devices 24x7x365, or as required.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree with 5 years technical work experience or 7 years technical work experience.
Fluent in IBM DB2 UDB for LUW. Experience includes designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting databases.
Must have experience with DB2 UDB for LUW Version 9.
? Must have experience with supporting multiple DB2 databases in a shared server environment
3 years experience in defining user interfaces and functional specifications.
1 year experience in IBM DB2 OLAP (On-Line Application Programming) /Hyperion Essbase including experience with building multi-dimensional database cube and outline design
3 years systems analysis experience
