Description
CDI has an opening for a Gas Turbine System Design Engineer who will be responsible for designing mechanical systems and functional automation specifications for those systems for power plants. He/she will work extensively with mechanical equipment on a system level and will define the system and engine operation. The system design will also include determination of failure modes of the system and definition of failures mode mitigation. This position is also responsible for the development of the functional requirements for the design of the process control logic of the system. This position will work in a team environment and be resposbilbe for project schedules and budgets.

Experience in control logic or functional requirements development of control logic is required. An understanding of gas turbine design and operation is helpful. Experience in fluid systems design is preferred. The ideal candidate will have project management experience with excellent communication and teaming skills.

Daily task will include:

Determination of system operating requirements from interface Partners.
Translation of these interface requirements into cost effective, reliable designs.
Optimization of mechanical system designs.
Determine the failure modes so that mitigation through appropriate hardware additions and/or functional logic requirements can be determined.df-tc
