Overview: The role of Junior IT Manager is to support and maintain the use of computers, computer networks and audio visual equipment throughout a growing International Business School. This key role provides a broad-range of front-line technical support for students, faculty and staff.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as primary liaison with Global IT support staff
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT hardware and software
Project manage the implementation of new IT systems, hardware and software and any changes to existing systems
Ensure Global IT security standards are maintained
Create and manage user accounts for the various online systems used by students, faculty and staff
Provide IT and AV Technical support for Students and Faculty
Resolve or escalate support requests to the appropriate Global IT Staff; keep customer actively informed of escalation
Install, configure and trouble-shoot, software, hardware and desktops
Perform hardware and software diagnostics, log faults and repair equipment
Monitor and troubleshoot staff and student printer performance. Perform regular maintenance on staff and student printers
Manage telephone and voice mail systems
The Junior IT Manager must be:
Proactive in making recommendations for technical systems and procedures improvements
Highly organized and able to maintain composure in a high-pressure atmosphere with frequent interruptions
Able to proactively problem-solve technical issues independently and function well as a member of a multi-person student services support team
Committed to providing excellent customer service to the diverse community
Comfortable working with remote-based IT support team
Candidate requirements:
Bachelors degree in a computer related field
Extensive experience of working in an IT support environment, preferably in the educational sector
Deep knowledge of operating systems, software and hardware
