Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for an I.T. Operations Director to join our Consumer Segment Team in Plano, TX.

Job Responsibilities:
The Consumer Segment Operations Director role is to supervise and ensure the efficient operation of the Consumer Segment within our Commercial Industry. This includes managing the operational and administrative activities of the segment. The Operations Director will work directly with the Consumer Segment Leader and with the Accounts Leadership, Staff, and Decision Makers within the Accounts that comprise the Consumer Segment. Specific responsibilities will include:

Strategy and Planning :
  • Lead IT department operational planning and projects, and organize and negotiate the allocation of IT resources.
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Ensure the efficient utilization of IT resources - including personnel and equipment - across the organization.
  • Oversee all reports and documentation related to operating the Consumer Segment.
  • Participate in Customer/Sales meetings and Planning sessions as required.

    Acquisition & Deployment :
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT systems, including networks, data centers, servers, PCs, operating systems, and associated hardware.
  • Assist in the development business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Approve purchase of equipment and supplies in order to meet operational requirements of the business.
  • Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of segment.
  • Conduct market research and remain current with the latest technologies and solutions in support of sales efforts.

    Operational Management :
  • Asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Coordinate operations staffing, assist in identifying leaders for new opportunities and working with existing client executives on succession planning.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives and client executives regarding pertinent Consumer Segment activities.
  • Oversee operations-related projects and project portfolio.
  • Assist in the provisioning of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.

    Required Skills :
  • 5 plus years of I.T. Senior Management/Director level experience to include oversight over day-to-day operations, project management, and performance metrics.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning, development and delivery.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures for a senior management perspective.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interaction skills and ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience using financial data/models for the purpose of creating business cases and budgets.
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly self-motivated and sefl-directed.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

    Desired Skills :
  • Consumer Segment Knowledge a plus.

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • University degree in the field of computer science or information systems and/or 10 years related work experience.
