Description

Tired of bad news? This client has NEVER had a layoff in their 70 year history! Due to growth, they need to hire several P/A's for their Insurance (Life and P&C) apps written in IBM/MVS/Cobol with CICS, DB2 and/or IMS.

The #1 complaint from job seekers is that they never hear back on resume submittals.

Well, we've laid out the requirements, below, and they are clear. If you have all of them, email us your resume in MS-Word and in the email, tell us how you meet all 7 of these requirements. We get over 300 resumes per day (thanks to worst recession in 50 yrs), so the more you help us see that you meet the requirements, the faster you will be contacted.

7 REQUIREMENTS : .

(1) IMMIGRATION STATUS: US Citizenship or green card or EAD

(2) TIES TO MIDWEST: You/your spouse have ties to the Midwest (went to went to school here, grew up here, have family here, something ). Zero negotiation. If your resume shows, for example, you've only lived on the West or East Coast and you have zero reason to move to the Midwest , this client will not be interested. They've tried before and people always quit to move back home.

(3) IBM/COBOL: 5 yrs, minimum, programming in COBOL under MVS

(4) INSURANCE: 3 years programming Insurance (Life and/or P&C) applications

(5) JOB HISTORY: They will not hire career contractors (yes, even if you know say you want a perm job). Being a contractor by choice is different than being a contractor by necessity. If you are a contractor by choice, no way can we get this client to talk to you. Likewise, if you have had mostly perm jobs but job hopped, it won't work. We all know you might have been laid off from a couple of jobs but if you have, for example, 14 years in IT and 7 or more jobs, this profile won't fly here. The last 2 people they hire from us averaged 6 years per employer.

(6) SALARY: The cost of living in Columbia , MO is below the national average. They will not pay outside the stated range ($55 - 70K base). Their benefits are fantastic and people that join this company plan to work here a long time (10 yrs) and watch their pension and 401K grow exponentially.

(7) ABILITY TO MOVE TO MISSOURI: This might sound odd but you wouldn't believe how many people we talk to that don't think through the moving process. The housing market is horrible and they end up telling us they can't sell their home and afford a new place in MO. Our client will help you move (pack and ship your household goods) but selling your home is your responsibility. Also, they will NOT go for people leaving their family behind with you commuting back home. Again, they've tried this and people always quit to move back home.

NICE TO HAVE (not required):

- Cyberlife or VantageOne
- DB2 or IMS
- CICS
- Four year degree

WHY WORK HERE?
- Job stability.you will meet people that have worked here 20-30 yrs!
- Low stress, 9am - 5pm, work env't
- Competitive base salary for this part of USA
- Excellent benefits including matching 401K and pension plans
- Relocation package to move you to Columbia , MO

ABOUT CAREER BROKERS:
- We specialize in filling Full time jobs with clients in the USA .
- None of our clients are consulting firms or contract "body-shops."
