Summary

The IBM team at Berbee is focused on marrying our clients' business requirements with IBM solutions. Berbee's IBM Practice is expanding its sales team to include software specialists who can assess a client's business challenges and craft the right solution to meet their needs. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing sales support in selling Berbee's IBM software portfolio as well as other software offerings and services to existing clients, in addition to initiating business development activities that will generate revenue growth and new clients for Berbee in an assigned territory.

Additionally, successful candidates will understand and work with the IBM sales and marketing teams to develop and maintain a strong working relationship in their assigned territories.


Primary Responsibilities

Sales Activities

1. As part of a team of IBM sales specialists, act as a primary contact and sales resource for Berbee account managers, IBM field sales, and clients, including the existing base of Berbee document imaging solution clients
2. Build and manage an opportunity pipeline for IBM software solutions and document imaging solutions, adhering to the Berbee guidelines for revenue/Gross Profit targets
3. Initiate, plan and execute effective sales calls and product demonstrations
4. Organize and prepare effective solutions proposals

Technical Activities

1. Be the go-to contact re: IBM software and document imaging solutions, maintaining current knowledge about Berbee product offerings, technical service, competitive information, promotions
2. Effect a balance in participation in the IBM sales and technical community, keeping in mind the goal of productive visibility within IBM and revenue generation for Berbee
3. Develop solid communications with cross-brand and cross-practice Berbee product and delivery managers in order to leverage Berbee's breadth of technical expertise in order to create the optimum solution for the client





Qualifications

1. Minimum 3 years of experience selling complex enterprise-level IBM-based solutions as well as document imaging solutions, and either experience in selling or a knowledge of competing solutions

2. Professional services sales background preferred

3. Excellent written, verbal, presentation skills

4. Demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective

5. Team Player

6. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline; or the equivalent in experience
