IP Telephony/Network Solutions Architect - NC

Our client is seeking a strong Solutions Architect and Consultant who will provide high level technical support and expertise in analyzing customer requirements in conjunction with their current network and system capabilities and ensuring company design will accomplish customer's objectives.

S/he is the first level of technical interaction for the sales team and must be able to establish immediate credibility and leadership.

Tasks include:
*Provide the management resource of the technical deliverable.

*Consult with the Sales Team during client assessment, needs analysis and client meetings.

*Evaluate each opportunity for alignment with vendors' capabilities and business policy. Make Go/No Go recommendations to the Sales Team.

Assures technical competency and completeness of material presented to prospects.

Assists in the preparation of the appropriate pre-sales documentation to include a Solution Architecture, Statement of Work, Labor requirements, Project Proposals, Product/Service Cost/Pricing, RFP responses, etc. Understands ROI.

Assume responsibility for technical pre-sales design decisions and related justifications within the context of defined and client-approved requirements and constraints.

Communicate technical design requirements, constraints, functionality, and implementation details verbally and in
formal documentation (pre and post-sales).

Design technical proof of concept testing. Work with customers to define implementation projects including requirements gathering, management of vendors, personnel, and other resources. Resolve complex technical issues in assessment,
solution design and implementation. Provide knowledge transfer to client and implementation team. S/he will aid in project scoping and SOW development for both services and product.

Create assessment questionnaires and other forms of written deliverables. Leverage a combination of advanced technical
aptitude and consultative capabilities with a sales and business focus.

Requirements:

*Solid technical skills in Networking and IP Telephony with special emphasis on Cisco-based solutions considered a strong plus

*Solid techncial skills in systems including HP, Sun, Windows and others considered a plus

*Strong verbal and written communication skills along with a
willingness to mentor others in both technical and soft-skill areas

*10-15+ years experience in the IT industry with experience in Consulting, pre-sales and implementation

*Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Math,
Business Administration, Engineer, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience

*Certifications including CCIE and others considered a strong plus

*Other plusses include publications, sales and leadership experience, some background in instruction/trainingdf-tc
