Global Investment Bank located in New York, NY has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced IRD Trading Risk and Pricing Systems Developer/Support.

We are currently seeking a talented Front Office Support/Development individual with good knowledge of interest rate derivatives, Excel and VBA programming and excellent communication skills.
In the role of Interest Rate Derivative Trading Support/Development, this team member will be responsible for supporting and enhancing trading risk and pricing systems, with an emphasis on working closely with option and structured product traders.

Ideally the candidate will have 2-3 years Front Office support and development experience and a financial engineering graduate degree.

Responsibilities:
Assist traders in day-to-day routines
Become very familiar with the bank APIs
Enhancement of Trader spreadsheets
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Interface with business users and subject matter experts to define requirements and refine the details necessary for modifications to software
Design & implement new enhancements in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Communicate status and report issues to the project leader

Qualifications
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field, and ideally a Financial Engineering graduate degree
  • Minimum of two years of related experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Fixed Income Trading, Pricing, and Risk Management concepts
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel/VBA
  • Proficiency in C/C++ beneficial
  • Experience in rapidly deploying Front Office solutions
  • Proactive team player with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Candidates must be excellent analytical problem solvers
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness a must
