Basic Assignment
 

This position, in collaboration with other members of the College's Information Systems staff, is responsible to plan, design, implement, develop and maintain online services for use by the College's students and employees.  The position reports to the Director of Information Systems.

 

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the IS team, plan, develop, design, and implement new technology initiatives typically N-tiered applications in a Microsoft.NET environment.  Initial projects include a security certificate system and online forms applications.

  • Participate in the selection, implementation and post acquisition support of a replacement telephone system to include VoIP technology.

  • Provide leadership and supervise the College's PC maintenance program.

  • Hire, train, supervise and evaluate PC maintenance technicians.

  • Participate in daily operations and maintenance of a variety of college systems.

  • Perform related duties as required.

 



Experience/Skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or closely related field from an accredited college or university, or MCSA or MCSE certification or equivalent experience.

  • Object oriented programming experience.

  • Configuration and administration experience with Windows 2000 or 2003 Server.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year development experience in .Net environment.

  • One year responsible experience or equivalent Microsoft certified training with Microsoft Active Directory.

  • Training and/or experience with Microsoft Sharepoint Server.

  • Training and/or experience with VoIP telephone systems.

  • Supervisory experience.
