Description

Respond to and troubleshoot issues that users encounter with the Speech Application for the Disney Reservation Centers. Track issue resolution efforts and follow up with end user, supplier and management on same. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for our Speech Application system. Oversee changes to the system, creating and executing system tests, implementing changes; representing the team at meetings with end users.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Information Technology or related field
  • Proven experience with designing, supporting, and implementing complex Reservations system applications
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills to achieve business results
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, written and verbal communication and time management skills
  • Demonstrated initiative, dependability, cooperation and thoroughness working in a large team environment
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience developing requirements for new system enhancements and supporting large application systems, preferably Speech IVR systems
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills and ability to be proactive and exhibit a passion for speech systems
  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Ability to be comfortable addressing senior executive level concerns
  • Ability to work independently as well as leading small teams
  • Ability to set expectations with clients and management staff
