GENERAL SUMMARY:
The IT Analyst Telecom as part of the Network Services Team, the Voice Analyst is responsible for identifying user requirements, developing technical solutions, preparing functional specifications, developing the project plan and executing with operational excellence. Performs trend analysis on new technologies, as well as chronic problems. Develops proactive monitoring and reporting capabilities to ensure system availability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Serve as liaison between PolyOne and telecommunications vendors as regards to voice communications projects and services
-Communicate business needs and directives to vendors and service carriers to ensure appropriate services are provided
-Provide support for PBX's in Avon Lake and remote sites. Support voicemail Avaya Intuity Audix and Avaya Modular Messaging. Manage adds, moves and changes for Avaya telephony environments
-Set up and maintain basic telephone operations, including installation of telephone hardware and provide assistance to the telephone service provider
-Provide support for additional hardware/software working in concert with PBX (T1s, CTI, maintenance upgrades, etc.)
-Perform telephone system troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common problems; interfaces with telephone service provider to repair problems.
-Support the company's cellular and handheld policy and assist in its administration
-Share in providing end-user support

Required Education:
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year program (In absence of Bachelors, 4 years of additional experience in IT or related-field may serve as a trade-off for degree.)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-Experience in gathering requirements from business and IT professionals and translating the requirements into technical requirements suitable for engineering.
-Telephony applications (CTI, ACD, Call Vectoring, Modular Messaging)
-Familiarity with Avaya PBX environments including S8500, S8700, Definity G series, Definity Prologix, remote survivable switch (LSP model)
-Inter Exchange Carrier knowledge
-Networking and knowledge of networking protocols and terminology
-Familiar with video conferencing environments
-Familiarity with voice network design and configuration, troubleshooting.
-Experience with VoIP, integration between data and voice
-Familiarity with Handheld technology management and administration: Blackberries, Windows Mobile, Palm
-Project management
-Working knowledge of the following software is required: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Outlook Mail.
-The individual should be a self-starter, who can focus on the work that needs to be performed and be able to work independently with little management supervision.

Required Length & Type of Experience:
-5-10 years voice communications related experience.
Required Certification, Licenses, Registration:
-Documented AVAYA certification a plus
