Manpower Professional is currently recruiting for a IT Application Analyst for a direct hire position in Pella. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Java developer with at least 3-4 years of experience. Must have a proven track record in building effective relationships with peers and customers in order to accomplish a common goal. Responsibilities include: -Under general supervision, develop specifications and write basic to moderately complex technical programs -Analyze, code, test, debug, implement, document and maintain those programs -Competent to work on most phases of application programming activities but requires minimal instruction and guidance in phases -Working with various business units to help them accomplish their technical projects/goals -Hands on technical development and may have the opportunity to coordinate the work of others -Strong communication skills, ability to analyze and interpret business designs and ability to work in a collaborative team environment Technical Skills Required: Java Struts experience, XML, JSP, Swing-some experience in at least one, WSAD & ClearCase experience highly preferred, experience in developing and testing is required. Ability to create and/or interpret UML design docs is preferred. WebSphere experience and/or J2EE experience would be nice to have. Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred. Proficiency with database application; knowledge of mainframe, distributed, and/or web programming languages. Must have basic planning/organizational, problem-solving, analytical, time management, decision-making, and communication skills. Basic leadership skills and project management skills preferred. Some travel may be required, including overnight stays.
