IT Applications Director

Plans, approves, coordinates, and supervises all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of organizational information systems and software applications.

Position Responsibilities/Duties:

• Plans, approves, coordinates, and supervises all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of organizational information systems and software applications (ERP and MES systems).
• Vendor and Budget Management for applications group.
• Support of MPC financial consolidation system, MS CRM, and other applications.
• Drive and manage system changes using defined change control procedures.
• Responsible for prioritizing and coordinating the maintenance, support, and upgrade of existing systems and applications.
• Drive and manage system changes using defined change control procedures.
• Recommends and decides on improvements, changes, and implementations of software applications.
• Applies proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide the team on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.
• Interfaces with other departments to determine prioritization and viability of system changes.
• Coordinates global systems implementations.
• Scheduling and participation in applications on-call rotation to provide 24/7/365 support for manufacturing operations.

Position Requirements:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area with supervisory experience. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• 4 - 7 years ERP implementation experience in production/manufacturing businesses as a project manager. (MS Dynamics AX preferred)
• 4 - 7 years Project Planning/Project Leading
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills (Across all functions: Mfg floor to Operations VP)
• Database and VB experience
• Experience operating in a SOX compliant environment preferred
• Microsoft Suite and MS Project for planning
• Occasional international travel required
