Will participate in a consulting capacity on development and implementation projects, by evaluating potential approaches and/or product solutions relative to their alignment with architectural principles and technology standards. Additional responsibilities include producing documented architecture and high level designs that describe and are used to guide the implementation of technology within the company. The architect will also collaborate with the development and test teams, by providing oversight and technical guidance, including design and code reviews.df-tc


Experience/Skills
The ideal candidate will have in depth hands-on experience in designing and implementing application systems in a high volume eCommerce environment. Extensive knowledge of the IT industry and current technologies such as UML, J2EE (WebLogic), NET, Web Services and services oriented application development methodologies are required. Documentum, Netegrity SiteMinder is a plus as well as experience in infrastructure design and implementation. Candidates must also possess knowledge of architectural development methodology and an IT planning methodology. The ability to integrate technology within a multiple line of business, structure to meet defined business strategies is an additional requirement. Candidates must be able to accurately identify implications, alternatives and/or tradeoffs in the areas of cost/performance versus features/technologies.
